Featuring works by such artists as Steinhardt, Krakauer, Ticho, Budko, and Pins, the exhibition was organized in conjunction with a Mishkenot Sha'ananim conference of the cultural heritage of German Jewry and its influence on almost every aspect of life in pre-state Israel. The artists' encounter with the natural and human landscape of the East dominates the works on display.
