At the beginning of the 20th century, the Cubist works of Picasso and Braque provided inspiration for artists from other schools to begin experimenting with various styles of collage as a means of expressing emotion as well as political and aesthetic values. This exhibit presents the collages of artists such as Jean Arp, Jiri Kolar, and Joseph Cornell, who made prominent use of the medium.
