This exhibition was devoted to the longest and perhaps most important of the Dead Sea Scrolls housed in the Israel Museums Shrine of the Book. It traced the story of the Temple Scroll, presenting the Scroll itself, together with other manuscripts, archaeological finds, and works of art, in order to reveal diverse aspects of the material and spiritual world of the Qumran community to which the Scrolls are attributed and to examine one of the most crucial elements of Jewish identity the institution of the Temple.
