Fingerprint
- February 28 2020 - October 25 2020
- Curator: Timna Shahar
A system of ridges and valleys is lightly imprinted on each of our fingertips. These patterns are formed on our skin before we are even born, and remain unchanged throughout our lives. They can identify us and serve as our own distinct signature: our fingerprints.
The concept of fingerprints lies at the heart of this exhibition. The works on display were created in the Museum by people with special needs. While examining their works over the course of the year, we discovered recurring sketches and motifs reminiscent of fingerprints or hand-writing, allowing the creator of the work to be identified even in the absence of their name.
