Archaeology/Classical Archaeology

Bronze belts, such as this one, were found almost exclusively in early female burials in southern Etruria, and thus were probably worn only by women. Leather belts, decorated with sheet bronze and fastened by bronze hooks, were worn by male warriors throughout Italy and buried along with their owners after death.
