This medallion presents a rare instance of a pagan goddess decorating a church. It depicts the goddess adorned with jewelry and wearing a crown in the form of a three-towered city wall. In her left hand she holds a cornucopia and in her right a scepter. A Greek inscription, ending in a cross, surrounds the figure, reading “In the name of Flavius son of Theodorus, in the month of Xanthikos 645” - Flavius being the governor in office at the time the medallion was donated to the church.
