Archaeology/Classical Archaeology

The embossed bezel is decorated with an orientalizing scene inside a cartouche of the Egyptian-Phoenician type. Many gold rings of this type have been found in Etruscan tombs from the second half of the 6th century BCE on, the earlier ones probably made by immigrant East Greek goldsmiths.
