This amulet, discovered under the doorstep to the synagogue, contains 26 lines of a rare text in Hebrew and Aramaic. The text is a request from Yosi son of Zenobia that God grant him unlimited rule over the members of the village similar to God’s unlimited rule over the world - fascinating testimony to power struggles within an ancient Jewish village.
