Archaeology/Classical Archaeology

Hellenistic jewelery was made from series of small components, each constructed from sheet gold of very high quality. Decorative techniques included filigree, granulation, and enameling, usually in green or blue shades. Despite the small size of the components, no magnifying glasses were used in their manufacture.
