Archaeology/Ancient Glass

Bottles such as this one, made in imitation of Greek pottery and metalware, belong to a new series of core-formed vessels decorated with glass threads (trails), which were first manufactured in Rhodes and later throughout the Mediterranean. They served as elegant containers for Rhodes’s famous perfumes and oils.
