Future gift of Arthur Abrahams, Jerusalem

Accession number:

L-B80.018

Arts/Oceania

This exceptional splashboard exhibits beautiful symmetry and is presented on a custom travertine base. It is carved from a single heavy plank. Its curvilinear decoration is deeply incised with traditional motifs. It has acquired a dry mellow patina from age, exposure and traditional use.
