Director's welcome | Summer hours | Purchase tickets online
July 16, 2014
We are pleased to send you our special issue on summer events at the Israel Museum.
Setting off on a journey around the Museum
Especially now, when our routine has been disrupted as it has over recent days, it's time to take a journey elsewhere: a journey that will inspire us, renew our faith in our ability to change reality, and improve the environment in which we live.
The exhibition Journeys in the Youth Wing deals with endless breathtaking views and wondrous discoveries, as well as inherent obstacles and difficulties of travels. It allows us to observe all kinds of journeys, observing those who take them and, those who make them. We can take a cool glimpse Towards Annapurna or share the intimate journeys of public figures like President Shimon Peres, whose souvenirs from the Beijing Olympics are on display in the exhibition foyer together with medalist Shahar Peer's tennis shoes and racket.
Pick up your (almost) real passport at the famous Youth Wing Summer Activity Yard and take a journey throughout the Museum. Jump into the hot air balloon to visit faraway lands, discover new worlds, and your own creativity.
Join us for a summer full of art and journeying!
