DID YOU KNOW?
COLLECTING DUST - CONTEMPORARY ISRAELI ART
In still life paintings of the 17th century such as the Vanitas, dust hinted at the vanities of this world and the inevitable end.

In contrast, the Dada artist and avant-garde modernist Marcel Duchamp saw the dust that had fallen on his ready-made object the Large Glass as an expression of the union between works of art, materiality of life and chance.
In COLLECTING DUST, Israeli artists move between intimate surroundings and local landscapes; drawing on house dust, views during a storm, mist, forgotten artworks and even the destruction of the Museum and its renewal.
