Talking Heads: Portraits and Texts from the
Vera and Arturo Schwarz Collection of Dada and
Surrealist Art

Talking Heads brings together a selection of portraits and artists’
books, manifestos, periodicals, and letters by prominent Dada
and Surrealist figures, drawn from the Vera and Arturo Schwarz
Collection of Dada and Surrealist Art in the Israel Museum. First
shown at the Israel Museum in 2007, the Janco Dada Museum in Ein
Hod is an especially appropriate venue for this exhibition which
will also travel to Beersheba in 2009.

Stella Fischbach Department of Modern Art, in collaboration with
the host museum
Following its successful showing at MART (Museo di Arte Moderna e
Contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto) in Italy, from September 13,
2008, through January 6, 2009 (reported in our Summer−Fall 2008
Magazine), this exhibition of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist
art traveled on to Denmark in January 2009. Through this traveling
exhibition, our impressive holdings in these fields are now enjoying
broad international recognition, showcasing some of the Museum’s
most beloved and best-known works, by such masters as Paul
Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Pierre
Auguste Renoir, and Auguste Rodin.
