Legendary archaeologist Prof. Trude Dothan relates the mysterious story of the discovery of Deir el-Balah, a 14th–13th-century BCE Egyptian graveyard on the borders of ancient Canaan, presenting drawings, maps, and photographic documentation of the site. The book also provides an illustrated catalogue of the artifacts that were removed from the site prior to its scientific excavation and are now in the Israel Museum’s holdings.
