Hebrew inscription mentions the names of the donors: Rabbi Shmuel B"P and Shmuel Katz, charity synagogue warden ("gabbai") of the Holy Community of Komorn ( today Komárom, Hungary and Komárno, Slovakia); and the phrase "Happy are those who act justly, who do right at all times" (Psalms 106:3), which provides the indication of the Hebrew year
