This rare painting depicts a naked dancer, covered with tattoos, playing the lute and holding a glass of wine. Her jewelry resembles some of the pieces on display here: a pair of bracelets, a pair of armlets, and a pair of anklets. The wavy contours of her bracelets suggest that they were decorated in relief. Digital presentation of this object was made possible by: The Ridgefield Foundation, New York, in memory of Henry J. and Erna D. Leir |
