Bukharan man's outfit
Late 19th - early 20th century
The abundance of fabrics that make up the man's colorful apparel reflect the wealth and high standing of the Bukharan merchants. The wide coats - gifts given by emirs to those they favored - were worn one on top of another by Jews and Muslims alike.
