Dedication inscription in Yiddish [on interior base] stating that the item was prepared in honor of the wedding of artist Mane-Katz; inscribed on the sides in Hebrew –
"Your father and mother will rejoice; she who bore you will exult." [Proverbs 23:25); "Congratulations"; "Mirth and gladness, bridegroom and bride" – and in Yiddish: "Bride, bride, weep; life is bitter as bitter herbs"
