Hoard of copper objects

Early Bronze Age, 2950–2650 BCE

This hoard of copper objects comprised a variety of tools and weapons, as well as unidentifiable items such as a crescent-shaped object and hundreds of rippled plates. The plates made have been scales of armor. The objects are the products of two different metal industries: most of the tools were made in Egypt, while most of the weapons were manufactured in Canaan.

Digital presentation of this object was made possible by: The Ridgefield Foundation, New York, in memory of Henry J. and Erna D. Leir
