A George III mahogany cellarette.
The cellarette was used in the 18th century for the storage of bottles of wines and spirits. This example is unusual in being of pedestal form, the central cupboard enclosing a revolving tray with seven divisions for bottles, enabling the servant to choose a bottle from the rear of the cabinet.
