A George III silver mustard pot by Peter and Ann Bateman, London 1791, engraved with a monogram. The partnership of Peter and Ann Bateman was formed in 1791, Peter being the son of Hester and brother-in-law of Ann. The mustard pot is finely decorated with the then fashionable bright cut engraving, the body being pierced to reveal the blue glass liner.
