1st–2nd century CE
Blown glass, blue with white flecks
H: 13.4; Diam: 14.4 cm
Gift of Arieh Klein, Jerusalem
Accession number: 79.5.2

This type of cup, also called a modiolus, imitates the shape of a type of large pottery (terra sigillata) cup, itself an imitation of a cup produced in silver. The blue speckled cup was acquired in fragments, which suggests that it was found locally.
