The base depicts a man leaning on a staff, identified as Hermon; a standing man, identified as Mnesilas son of [so-and-so]; and a woman, identified as Bito, mournfully resting her chin on her right hand and supporting her right elbow with her left. Their sorrowful attitudes suggest that the monument was a funerary one.
