8th century BCE
Electrum
H: 7.2; W: 6.6 cm
Gift of S. Lamon, New York, through the America-Israel Cultural Foundation

This winged figure’s nudity and the clusters of grapes she is holding indicate that she is a fertility goddess. The stars decorating the plaque’s background hint that she is also an astral goddess.
