The depiction of the seasons of the year is at the core of this exhibition, featuring European art from the 17th century onward. The exhibition will examine the connection between art, mythology, and folklore in an agrarian society dependent on the cycle of the seasons. Furthermore, the exhibition will follow the changes in the theme's depiction by a modern urban society. On display in the exhibition are paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs, and Meissen porcelain figurines - mostly from the Israel Museum's collection - by Peter Brueghel's workshop, Gerard de Lairesse, Isaac I. Levitan, Camille Pissarro, Auguste Rodin, Lesser Uri, Eldar Farber, and Yuval Yairi.
