Ancient Gold- Rare Finds from the Nahal Qanah Cave: Archaeological remains related to life and burial found in a beautiful karstic cave in the hills of Samaria. The earliest finds are from the Neolithic period some 9000 years ago. During the Chalcolithic period (4th mill. BCE) the cave was used for burials - finds from that period include ossuaries and numerous funerary offerings,gold rings, copper and ivory objects and pottery vessels. The cave was last used during the Early Bronze Age (3rd mill. BCE)
