New in European Art

The exhibition New in European Art posed the question, "How do artists portray themselves?" Six self-portraits by Jewish artists, accompanied by their photographs, allowed comparisons and a glimpse into their worlds. Also on show were city- and country-scapes, people at work and leisure, echoes of the Classical world in painting and sculpture, and a new sculpture of Joan of Arc by Fremiet.
