"The Acrobats" is Picasso's first series of prints, executed in 1904-05, towards the end of his so-called "Blue Period", and published by the renowned publisher and art patron Ambroise Vollard in 1913. Exuding a melancholy atmosphere, coupled with the artist's fascination with the world of acrobats, it is probably Picasso's most celebrated series.
