These textiles – recent additions to the Art of the Americas' collection – portray the beauty of ancient Andean textiles and display the range of their designs and functions. The Siguas, Wari, Chancay, and Inca peoples who created these textiles developed splendid weaving traditions and used clothing to define status, gender, and wealth.
