From Gandhara to Ghazna: Buddhist and Islamic Art from the May and Rolando Schinasi Collection

Displayed to the public for the first time, artworks and household objects representing two outstanding cultural periods in Afghanistan’s history: statues of the Buddha from Gandhara, created during Buddhism’s early years (2nd – 4th century CE); and a selection of metalware items  of the Muslim Ghaznavid dynasty (11th – 12th century CE).
