Gal Weinstein raised questions about geophysical aspects of Jerusalem through an installation that was a kind of cross-section of a fracture in the earth's crust. The three dimensional sculpture was based on a textbook illustration that explained the geological phenomenon, but the transition from page to gallery space transformed the didactic image and endowed it with significance that went beyond the purely physical context.
