Michael Druks

Michael Druks sends himself to stand in the corner with his face to the wall in four different locations: at the Bilu School, Tel Aviv, where he was a student, and at the Western Wall, the Israel Museum, and the Knesset in Jerusalem. Recreating the experience of standing in the corner at Israeli sites charged with personal, religious, cultural, and national significance raises questions about the relationship between the individual and authority.
