| Sheet of paper stained in blood, with the lyrics to the "Song for Peace," taken from Yitzhak Rabin's jacket pocket
On November 4, 1995, a peace rally was held in what was then called Malkhei Yisrael Square (now Rabin Square) in Tel Aviv. It was attended by hundreds of thousands of people. Right after the rally, Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was shot and killed by an assassin. This sheet was taken from Rabin's jacket pocket. On it were the words to the song Shir le-Shalom, the "Song for Peace," which was sung at the end of the rally, just minutes before the murder. The lyrics to Shir le-Shalom were written by Yaakov Rotblit, and the melody was composed by Yair Rosenblum.
