The animated films created by Zon Ito and Ryoko Aoki are fundamentally different from the animated films created by three-dimensional computer graphics. Together the two artists make the actual drawings by hand (the sound and composition are done by Zon Ito). Since there is no strict story line, the various scenarios unfold as though in a dream world. Because the world of these two is a "little off center" from the usual way of looking at things, everything seems to be unconnected and without logic. The artists prefer to make up their own cocktail of visual metaphors, where the imagination has no bounds: as Ito says, "there are occurrences that cease to evolve when they are made into language."
