Daniel
Rozin, born 1961
Daniel Rozin received
his formal training in the Department of Industrial Design
at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem and
then worked for Scitex Corp., Israel, before leaving to study
in New York. Since 1996 he has been a researcher and Adjunct
Professor at New York University, and in 1999 he was appointed
Director of Research at the Interactive Telecommunications
Program at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.
Founder of the software company Smoothware Design, his works
have been exhibited in the United States, Korea, Japan, and
Austria, and have been featured in several major publications,
including Wired magazine. He has received research fellowships
and grants from Interval, Intel, NCR, and Microsoft, as well
as numerous awards including the prestigious Prix Ars Electronica,
ID Design Review, and Chrysler Design Award.
