A 6,000-Year-Old Nobleman

The Reconstructed Bow and Arrows

The bow and the arrows were reconstructed in order to gain a better understanding of how they were manufactured and used and how they performed. It seems that the bow was an effective and highly sophisticated hunting and fighting weapon. Experiments showed that it would have probably been used with an arrow ca. 60 cm long and weighing ca. 14 gr, which would have reached a distance of up to 77 m.
