The Department of Modern Art focuses on international art from
the late nineteenth century (Impressionism) to 1970. Included in
the collection are major paintings and sculptures by such artists
as Degas, Monet, Van Gogh, Cezanne, Gauguin, Leger, Klee, Marcel
Duchamp, Picasso, Kokoschka and Dubuffet. The more than 130 sculptures
by Jacques Lipchitz in the collection represent a comprehensive
overview of the artist's work
